"Farm Fresh Halal Market is a gem for halal groceries in East Liberty. The store is compact but well-stocked—fresh meats, produce, and a wide range of pantry staples (spices, rice, lentils, teas, sweets). Prices are reasonable for specialty items, and I appreciated the clear labeling on the meat case and shelves. The staff were friendly and patient when I asked about specific cuts and brands, and checkout was quick even during the after-work rush. Shelves were tidy, produce looked fresh, and the meat counter moved efficiently. If you cook Middle Eastern, South Asian, or North African dishes, you’ll find many of the hard-to-find items here (different basmati rice brands, spice mixes, pickles, tahini, and halal snacks). Parking on N Negley Ave was straightforward, and the location is easy to spot."

"Lovely people! I kept driving past wondering what they offered. So glad I stopped in! Who knew? The halal meats are fresh. I found what some folks consider specialty spices that I consider necessary to any gourmet home kitchen. And snacks I know and love from my world travels! This convenience store is actually convenient! I look forward to being part of their growth as a business. Our neighborhood needs them!"

"Best drink selection in all of Pittsburgh- such a good neighborhood store. They have regular soft drinks, central/South American drinks, Turkish/Arab drinks, and novelty beverages. They also have an enormous variety of snack foods. Lots of interesting candies and pastries and tea. In terms of pantry staples, this shop has saved me many times when I'm in the middle of cooking something and need a certain spice or ingredient, but don't want to go all the way to the grocery store. They have tons of different hot sauces. It is a little chaotic, and the stock is so immense that I always make sure to check expiration dates, but I have found that most everything is fresh. Best bodega in Pittsburgh."
